1. Who we are

Just Keep Swimming Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. We provide free swim lessons and water-safety education to children. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Just Keep Swimming Project, and “site” refers to this website.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. We collect information when you fill out a form on our site. Our forms are powered by Gravity Forms and stored on our website.

  • Swim lesson application: the parent or guardian’s name and contact details, and details about the child such as name, age, swimming experience, and anything else you choose to share.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, and message.

Donations. Donations are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal shares basic details with us, such as your name, email address, and the amount of your gift, so we can thank you and provide receipts. PayPal’s use of your information is covered by the PayPal Privacy Statement.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web host may record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.

3. Children’s information

Our swim lesson application is meant to be completed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Any information about a child comes from their parent or guardian and is used only to run our programs.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information without a parent’s permission, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. How we use your information

  • To review applications and place children in classes
  • To contact families about lessons, schedules, and program updates
  • To respond to questions and messages
  • To process donations, send receipts, and thank our supporters
  • To coordinate volunteers, instructors, and partners
  • To keep our site secure and improve our programs

5. When we share it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only when needed to run our programs:

  • With our instructors, volunteers, and partner pool facilities, only as needed to run lessons safely
  • With service providers that help us operate, such as our website host, form tools, email, and PayPal
  • When required by law, or to protect the safety of children, families, or others

6. Cookies

Our site uses a small number of cookies needed for it to work, such as cookies that help forms submit correctly and keep the site secure. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected if you do.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to the people who need it to run our programs. No website or online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep information only as long as we need it for our programs, our records, or legal requirements. After that, we delete it.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you or your child. Just email us and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
